Kombo Breaker - Episode 25: Controlled Response

No guests means that we get to sit here and talk to you about ourselves. But look, we argue about some stuff here that's going to make you want to raid our houses while we sleep. We're okay with that, honest.

We'll cover all sorts of goodness from the week in gaming, we'll argue about the PS3 and 360 controllers, we'll even talk about Totilo's recent Multiplayer Blog departure. It's a good week for Kombo Breaker, and it all checks in below 1:30.

We've demonstrated that we can get all sorts of guests, so who do you want? Have questions? Comments? You can comment here, tell us on Twitter (twitter.com/kombobreaker) or drop us an email (kombobreaker@kombo.com). We're listening.

Kombo Breaker - Episode 24: Riddick-ulous

You'll hear a phone ring somewhere during the show. You'll hear it ring, you'll hear our guest Ian go 'oops' and then the ringing will stop. About 15 minutes later, Ian tells us that he has to go. He tells as that the person calling was Vin. Yeah, Diesel. We're ecstatic.

It's another week in the world of industry guests and Kombos being effectively broken apart. This week we had Ian Stevens of Tigon Studios on the show to talk Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Dark Athena and Wheelman. He even surprised us by sticking around in order to chit the chat and get all deep and meaningful about developing, publishing and covering video games.

By now you've all learned the method behind our madness. We like guests. We like bringing them on and letting them talk. Sure, we can do standard industry interviews, but the goal of our show is to deliver varied perspectives on an industry that's filled with thousands of generic voices. Not that we don't loooove other podcasts, we just hope you enjoy what we're doing with ours.

With that said... who would you like us to run out and get? You can comment here, tell us on Twitter (twitter.com/kombobreaker) or drop us an email (kombobreaker@kombo.com). We're listening.

Kombo Breaker - Episode 23: We're the Ones Being Interviewed?

We won't lie to you, no sir. This episode is seriously long. But look at it this way: you can stop, start, fast forward and rewind as much as you want! That's all kinds of freedom of which people in some countries can't even conceive. Take some solace in that as you rock out to nearly 3 hours of Kombo Breaker… and liberty.

This week's show was a lot of fun for us to do. We brought Glenn Gamble of Terminal Reality on once more; only this time we didn't talk about Ghostbusters. Through talks with Glenn, we decided it would be interesting to let the prey become the predator, the submarine become the torpedo and the sandwich become the fat man… Glenn interviewed us on what it's like to write gaming reviews. It's no walk in the park, as indicated by the fact that our brains collectively exploded every time he asked us a single question.

And you thought the story about the dog with herpes was weird? This week Joey talks about life at a bachelor party/strip club/magic schoolbus while the whole gang talks Henry Hatsworth, the DSi, Rhythm Heaven, Peggle, Guitar Hero: Metallica, Wandering Willows, Matt's Godfather II review, GTA: Chinatown Wars and a little book called The Greatest Sci-Fi Movies Never Made.

Big ups to Glenn for doing the show with us. As an aside, Brad and Joey are confirmed for E3, Matt says he's coming, Glenn's going for Terminal Reality and Dan's falling off of the fence that he should be on… E3 editions in our future?

Kombo Breaker - Episode 22: Sprinkles and Blood Rain From the Sky

For the first time in months we are guest-less and we're okay with that. We're also Joey-less and we're border-line happy about that. Brad, Matt and Dan sit back and relax while discovering what's up with the new GTA DS game, Chinatown Wars, teasing Godfather II, and getting a full rundown of last week's GDC. Brad was lucky enough to go and you're lucky enough to get a first hand account of some of the most exciting games slated for the latter part of the year.

Sprinkes and blood, man. Sprinkles and blood.
